Our services

The inventory of the Library & Media Centre comprises approx. 40,000 titles and almost 100 currently subscribed journals. Around 3000 new accessions arrive annually. Thematically, the stock covers the various fields of the Academy of Media Arts. The core themes of the collection are art (especially art with and via the new media), art theory and aesthetics, photography, media design and media theory, philosophy, as well as film and television. These core themes make up an unusual collection and are in this form unique.

All the media are listed in our catalogue and have been arranged according to their themes in the library rooms. All the books in a category or sub-category of the system can be found in the catalogue via a search with a placeholder: i. e. you name the category and follow it directly with a * or ? For example: KUN B.6.4* or KUN B.6.4?
